A Break from the Usual

Here is a break from the usual sports posting that you get on the Capital Sports Blog.  A little bit of marketing and some politics light.

Our marketing angle today comes courtesy of General Motors.  I have been very interested in the Chevy Tahoe, GMC Yukon, Cadillac Escalade line of trucks.  This has been going on for 45 days or more.  I finally got the time to go the dealership.

Now I thought that GM went bankrupt and that there would be some sort of deal on the trucks.  Wow, was I wrong.  A well equipped vehicle is around $55,000.  Now you can get one for a sale price of $48,000 or so.  But wow, what a pile of dough for a truck from a company that went bankrupt.

So these are the new American luxury cars.  Nice carpet, leather seats, sun roof, dvd players and all the luxury items that one would need.

Around the DC area there are oodles and oodles of Tahoe LTZ’s, GMC Denali’s and Caddy Escalades.  Are all these folks paying $55,000+ for a truck?  Where is all this money coming from?

Anyhow, they are beautiful vehicles that are 100% American in style and size.

Politics

Two greatest comedy teams of 20th century were Marx Brothers & 3 Stooges. So we elected govt of marxist stooges.

When someone tries to blow up an airplane, they are not a common criminal.  When they have friends who want to do the same thing, we need to find out who, what and when.  Electing Obama has not helped the situation.

In a few years, when there is a trial, maybe we can convict the unsuccessful bomber. Maybe he will get off on a technicality.  Who knows.  I think that the more important idea is that we need all the info we can get to stop the next airplane bomber.
