Football Sunday, Sports Weekend

I had picked the Redskins to go 4-12, and darn it, they could not even get to that low level of incompetence.

I have to admit, I watched more of the Ravens – Bengals game than the Redskins.  At least the Ravens were playing for something.  That was a good game for most of it.

I thought that the Ravens, trailing in the fourth had found some magic when the Bengals inexplicably threw an interception for a touchback.  It was on 1st and goal.  Dalton really takes some chances.  More chances than Bill Clinton and a room full of female interns.

However, as we all know, the Ravens gave it right back to the Bengals and the rest was running out the clock on the season.

Speaking of running out the clock, the Redskin game was dreadful. The weather was horrible, probably worse than the Chiefs game a few weeks ago.  I am surprised so many were there at the beginning, although it was probably the smallest crowd in the history of the stadium.

From all the reports, Shanny is to be let go.  I listened to the post-game show on the way to College Park.  He did not seem to be stressed about the situation at all.

As I sit on press row as the Terps host Tulsa in basketball to watch the endings of the 4pm NFL games.  The Chargers games was a good one.  First time I have seen the new scoring rules really have an effect on a big game.

The end of the Packers Bears game was “Classic”.  Rodgers is one of the best ever.

The Terps game turned out well.  Will get the post-game video up soon.  Overall, with the Friday Military Bowl loss and the games today, a disappointing sports weekend.
