02/04/2009 – College Park, MD – I had the pleasured of being the first ‘fan’ to run into Ralph as he entered the Riggs Center on Wednesday evening. He was reviewing his notes, adding handwritten updates to the computer generated text.
Ralph seemed pleased by the recruiting haul for 2009. Later he said that “we brought in good students, from good families”. I agree that it seems like the Terps, who have the 26th best class in the nation, really have some fine additions to the team.
Coach Freidgen said that, “Next year we need to get some more receivers and another quarterback”. As for this class, “We needed linebackers. We are going to be really young there” in 2009.
One more note, Ralph said that he has ‘lost 60 lbs recently’. He looks a little slimmer, but as you can see from the photo, he is still a sizeable fellow.
