Terp Sports Weekend

The Capital Sports Blog is back and rolling as the Terps had an OK sports weekend.  Men’s Basketball looked good as they beat Wagner on Friday night.  On Friday afternoon the Men’s soccer team took down Michigan State at Ludwig to get to the B1G final.

Saturday saw the football team come up short in many ways to Michigan State.  For a long while, it was a game the Terps could have had.  The wide receivers had too many drops and CJ never got it going from the qb position.

Still, the team is 6-4 and has two games that can be won.  At Michigan (3:30p on Saturday) and home with Rutgers on the 29th (Thanksgiving Weekend, 1p).  If the Terps take both games, great.  An 8-4 regular season is something to be proud of.

If the Terps split, 7-5 is a good season for the 1st year in the B1G.  Even if the team loses both, 6-6 is not so bad.  Hey, we beat Penn State.

Men’s soccer got their “Terp” on with a 2-1 win over Indiana on Sunday.  1st year in the B1G and the soccer team is the regular season and tournament champions.  Way to go.
