Straight No Chaser at Wolf Trap

It was not a big sports weekend for me.  Stanley Cup was wrapped up as was the NBA Finals.  The golf, although local, was so-so without Tiger.

I am starting to get really excited about the Orioles, but it is a long way to go until October.

Next weekend is the Under Armour All-American Lax game for high school seniors.  That will be a nice event in Baltimore.

This weekend ended up being a stay-cation weekend.  Going on vacation while staying home.  We got out to Capitol Polo and to Wolf Trap.  The polo was nice.  My friend Neil was the MVP of the match.

At Wolf Trap, I got to see Straight No Chaser.  SNC is an “a cappella” group.  That means great music, but no instruments.  They have 10 guys who create great harmonies and one fellow who does a great beat box.  They sing a lot of old favorites and the crowd is really into it.

This is the 2nd year in a row that SNC has sold out Wolf Trap.

  1. Golf without Tiger I can live with that-not a fan. Glad to see all the stars fall at Wimbeldon. Sorry Serina, not a fan. The orioles with the sweep of the yanks was awesome. Manny, a rising star, homeruns his first at bat in Sunday's game on ESPN. Chris Davis hits number 31! Tilman pitched his tenth win of the season. I say this weekend was a great week for sports!
    P.S.
I like the idea of a staycation. I think I'll plan one for me. LOL.

    Mr. Friday
