The Season is Back

Wow, a difference a week makes. I know that we lost, but it was a great run over Wake Forest and Duke to lose at the end to UNC.  I have not seen that much spirit in our team in a few years.  And it was missed.

Maybe even more missed when you see the effort and teamwork that was on display this weekend in Greensboro. I thought that the season was over and good riddance from last week’s melt down at UVA.  Now I wish the season could go on for another few weeks.

Could the Terps have won the game against UNC today? Sure could have.  I wish that Logan Aronhalt had one more shot at the game tying three, but it is not to be.  A 79-76 loss will have to do for now.

Do I think that it is enough to get the Terps to the NCAA tournament? No, but stranger things have happened.  I think it will be the NIT and at least a home game or two.

As an aside, I don’t know what James Padgett did to get nailed to the bench.  I thought that he provided an instant spark late in the game against UNC.  Maybe we will find out this upcoming week.

Maryland does not plan any special event around the 6p NCAA announcement show.  According to my researcher, Jordan, the NIT selection show immediately follows the NCAA show.

Here is the Show video short clip from this morning’s TerpTalk program
