What a sports weekend for Maryland. There were highs and lows.
Maryland beat Duke in soccer on Friday night. 3-1. That is a high. Terps lost at home to VCU last night giving up 3 goals at the end of the game. That is a low. Now 1-2-1 for the season.
Football has to be psyched. 2-0 and heading to UCONN for a Saturday evening (7:30 ESPNU) game. A 3-0 start is possible and that would have College Park sky high for the WVU game on the 21st.
UCONN has played one game, losing to Towson 33-18 on August 29th. They were already predicted to be having a down year. The Terps are on the rise. Two games with 40+ points in blowout wins for Maryland. It is starting to look like a great year.
