Terps News and Notes – Midweek Edition

Most interesting Terps news today is that there is a new website up,

This site has some really good photos to purchase of the Terps sports and stadiums.

Onto the football field, the news is not good. It appears that offensive tackle Campbell (turf toe, also know as a sprained big toe) and safety Jamari McCollough (knee strain) are both out for the JMU game. One would hope that we could handle James Madison without these two.

On the offensive side, that gives the start to RJ Dill. He is a highly regarded redshirt freshman. That will be your starter at right tackle. On the more important (if your quarterback is right-handed) left tackle position will be Paul Pinegar. He will be starting his first game as a left tackle.

With the defensive backfield, the outlook is brighter. McCollough is a hybrid safety/corner. So he can cover a receiver as a former cornerback and make the hits necessary of a safety. In his place for Saturday is the super-talented Kenny Tate (#12). Also in the mix is Antwine Perez (#2), a transfer from Southern Cal who hails from New Jersey.

On Saturday I have a field pass, so for next week expect some great photos.
