8.31.2013 Montgomery Village, MD – Maryland got the season started in fine fashion this afternoon with a dominating win over Florida Atlantic University. 43-10 was the score, the beating that Maryland imposed was highlighted by a 40-10 lead by the end of the first half.
CJ Brown was solid running and passing. Deon Long, the highly regarded wide receiver, had a good first game as a Terp. Stefon Diggs had a few highlight reel plays. The defense was in shutdown mode (or FIU was just bad on offense, not sure yet.) Dexter McDougal had a spectacular interception for Maryland.
Terps very good today, FIU not so much.
