Terps “Shell Shock” WVU

A glorious football Saturday for the Terps.  Nevermind the rain, the 1/2 full stadium in Baltimore, or the fact that most of the fans were gone by the time it was over – Maryland stomped on WVU 37-0.

The defense led the way holding WVU to 6 first downs and forcing (or collecting) 6 turnovers.  The offense was OK, didn’t quite look like the dominating offense of the past few weeks.

There was the game and then there is the overall record of 4-0.  We have not been 4-0 since 2001.  The WVU game was supposedly our first real test.

However, last weeks opponent, UConn really put up a fight against Michigan, losing at the end 24-21. Maryland shut down ODU in a blowout win and the next week, ODU put up 76 points.

The Terps are ranked 28th behind Arizona State and Georgia Tech; ahead of UCF and Nebraska.

Enough for the boosting up of our opponents.  Next time out it is Florida State on Oct 5th.  Game time and network have not yet been announced.

In the video below, I had the chance to talk with UM President Wallace Loh, formers Terps Matt Furstenburg and Larry Webster along with fan favorite Special K.

  1. Enjoyed the video did not know that Larry Webster was on that Super Bowl Team. Dr Loh dodged your question about future off campus games. That makes me think there will be more perhaps a lot more. A big win for the Terps now we get 2 weeks to prepare for FSU.

    Go Terps
