Will the Ravens Fly Again?

By Contributing Editor Michael Weiss w/ Wayne Viener

Where are the Ravens heading?

After an outstanding season that blew away everyone’s expectations (I predicted 6-10), Ravens fans are wondering about next year. Will Joe Flacco improve? Will all the injured players (Gregg, Yanda, Rolle, McAllister and everyone else) come back healthy? Will we sign Jim Leonard? Will Ray Lewis return as the leader of the team?

Rumor is that greedy Jerry Jones wants to try and buy a leader for his Cowgirls. Now that’s the problem with professional sports. You may have to root for the laundry (uniforms) instead of the players. Is it really all about the money? Please Ray. I beg you not to sell out to Mr. Facelift, I mean Jones.

My prediction is Ray Lewis has a heart and will be back in Baltimore. I believe Terrell Suggs, an outstanding linebacker from Arizona State, will sign a long term deal. I think that you can only pay so many players, so we may have to say goodbye to Bart Scott. Scott has been a really solid member of the defense, we will miss him if he goes.

I believe that defensive back Chris McAllister is a crack head and will never be heard from again. I believe quarterback Joe Flacco (from Delaware) IS the real deal and will win several rings in his career. I believe we will get revenge on the Colts and the Steelers next year. I have the Ravens going 10-6 next year and they will win the division in 2009.
