2013 season preview and 2 minutes with Scott McBrien

I am excited about the 2013 season.  I think we can go 4-0 before we get into ACC play.  We should be able to get wins at home over FIU and Old Dominion. The we go on the road to Connecticut for a Sept 14th and have WVU in Baltimore.

Those two are going to be tougher.  But I think they are wins we are going to get.

We need to be at 6 wins to be bowl eligible and I think we will make it to 8 wins for the regular season.

Oct 5th at FSU – this is going to be a real tough one for the Terps.  Right now I am going with an “L”.

Oct 12th UVA @ Terps – to have a successful season, we need to beat UVA.  This is a “W”.

Oct 19 at WF – This looks like another must have game to get to 7 wins.  A “W” for now and that makes us bowl eligible.

Oct 26 Clemson @ Terps – Clemson looks loaded again this year.  Ranked in the top 10.  Randy has a poor record against ranked teams.  Looks like a loss.  With the “L”, the projected record is now 6-2.

Nov 9 Syracuse @ Terps – After a week off, the Terps host the Orange.  Hard to gauge where Syracuse will be under a new coach at this later part of the season.  I am going with the Orange because we are going to lose a game that we should win.  This “L” has the Terps at 6-3.

Nov 16 at Virginia Tech – Terps have not fared well against the Hokies.  Have not beaten them since VT joined the ACC.  Not going to win this one either.  The “L” brings the record to 6-4.

Nov 23 Boston College @ Terps – Maryland gets back on the winning side of the ledger with their last ACC home game.  The “W” gets the Terps to 7 wins.

Nov 30 at NC State – This Thanksgiving weekend match-up is the last ACC game for Maryland.  It also, in my scenario becomes the breakpoint for a really good season of 8 wins and just a good season of 7.  I am going to be optimistic and go with the “W” for an 8-4 season.

Good 2 minutes with Scott McBrien, former Terp QB and new sideline reporter with Johnny Holiday.
