I am still is awe of the great Comcast Center crowd from Wednesday night. Here are some of the images from the Duke game.

To the left is one of the great hats I have seen at a Terps game.

To the right is your lovely blogger with Maryland Soccer coach Sasha Cirovski, taken at the pre-game party. Sasha is really happy with that National Championship (defeated North Carolina). We briefly discussed how the Terps shut down Creighton in the Final 8.

To the right is the view from the 13th row (an unlucky 13 versus Duke) of the 19,500 seat Comcast Center about 30 minutes before the game.

The Terps put together a great defensive effort in the 1st half. Duke looked quite ordinary against the defensive pressure. There were few open looks at the basket for the Devils.

To the right, the student section tried to distract the Duke free throw shots in the second half

Many Maryland fans, including this one, thought the refs were favoring the Blue Devils. Once Duke got a big lead late in the game, the refs started calling fouls on Duke. This was done to make sure the total number of fouls was even, therefore making sure that one could not claim favoritism.

To the left, Adrian Bowie steps to the free throw line with 1 minute 10 seconds remaining.
