It is anti-climactic to play an actual game after the B1G Ten news.
The Terps handled Georgia Southern with some ease as the 2nd half was good to the Terps. A 70-53 outcome that once again started out slowly. I am starting to believe that the governor on the Terps offense is the wholesale lineup changes that Mark Turgeon puts on the floor every four minutes.
Once the Terps settle on a rotation, I think the sky is the limit for this team.
Here are the postgame remarks from Comcast Center.
As for the football team, Maryland had the best minute in Terps recent history. Highlighted by several Nigel King one-handed catches, a Stefon Diggs touchdown pass, a great run after catch by Kevin Dorsey for a TD and a Diggs kickoff return for a TD, the Terps had it going on. All in less than one minute.
It was not to last as a Maryland, in that minute the Terps turned a 21-14 deficit into a 35-21 lead. The Terps could not keep the momentum and fall to the Tar Heels 45 -38. It is the Terps last trip as a member of the ACC to Kenan Stadium at UNC.
I will take a look forward at the Maryland football situation later this week. Maryland wraps up a 4-8 season, I think it was progress.
Bruce will be back from he Thanksgiving trip and we will be live in the studio for the Thursday night show in the Baltimore market at 6p on 1300am and live for the Saturday morning show at 8a on 1580am in DC.
