Terps Fill-In the Recruiting Void

Gary Williams and the gang went out and filled the void left by Terrence Ross de-committing for the 2010 class.  Welcome to Pe’Shon Howard, a three to four star guard from Oak Hill Academy.  As many have said, we would rather have someone who wants to be a Terp over a guy who is uncertain.

As far as Terrence Ross, he did not make a commitment to another school.  In fact, his coach Stu Vetter has said that T Ross still has a good chance to be a Terp.

Maryland and Gary just can not land the “big-one”.  T Ross is supposed to be all that and more.  We could not get the Lance Stephenson deal done last year.  I would venture to say the last “get” we got was Mike Jones or Ikene Ibekwe.

The stars of the past have been under the radar.  Joe Smith, Juan Dixon, Chris Wilcox and others were not that well known when they signed on to be a Terp.  It is not enough that Chuck Drisell gets a player interested when Gary can not get the deal signed.

With that being said, the 2010 class looks like a winner.  The team wants one more big body in the mix.
