A new class is emerging for 2010 that has great promise. Welcome to Terrence Ross from Montrose Christian.
At 6’5″ and 185 lbs., he is the shooting guard that we have been looking for. Add to that his top 40 status in the national recruiting rankings. He is currently listed as a four star. Gary Williams and Chcuk Drissell did a great job getting this commitment.
In addition, we have the commitment of Terrell Stoglin, a 6’1″, 160lb. point guard from Arizona. He is ranked #116 in the overall national recruiting rankings. It is reported that he committed the day after the offer was made to him by Gary Williams.
There is a possibility that DeShawn Painter, the 6’9″ forward, who is prepping at Hargrave Military Academy may also make the 2010 class for the Terps.
Last but not least is the recruitment of Will Barton. He is ranked 25th and is a five star recruit. He currently attends Lake Clifton in the Baltimore area. According to an Internet site, he is really looking hard at Maryland. This would be a huge get for the Terps.
With the two bigs for the 2009 class and the guard rich class of 2010, it looks like Gary Williams is making a push to bring top 10 basketball back to Terpland.
