Happy Football Friday – we have two 4-0 teams in action, Maryland Terps and Wootton Patriots this weekend. And, blessedly, the Redskins are off.
Maryland is at Florida State. All-time, the Terps are 2-21 versus the Seminoles. Maryland has never won in Tallahassee. The game is at noon on ESPN.
Wootton, who features Trevon Diggs (Maryland All-American Stefon Digg’s brother) and a host of top level wide receivers, takes on local power Gaithersburg. Because the Trojans are undergoing a construction project, the 6:30p Friday game will be played at Richard Montgomery in Rockville.
I will be covering the Wootton game for TerpTalk. Catch the radio show on the air at Saturday, 8AM on CBS 1580AM radio.
Also tomorrow, I will be on the “Sports Maven” show on Saturday at 9AM on 1300AM in Baltimore. Both are available on the internet at www.terptalk.com and radio.com.
Of course we will be talking Terps. Below are two interviews from this week. At the bottom is an interview with long-term former Terps coach Gib Romaine who coached Randy White and Joe Campbell.
Here is De’Onte Arnett discussing the WVU game and the success of the program
