The Loss at Michigan showed Growth

By Wayne Viener – I am tired of losing big games 60-3. So in that light, going down to Michigan 42-21 is an improvement.
I was feeling kinda good with a 7-3 lead and the ball. But the offense really did not have any fire power today. Maryland’s defense has improved, but not enough to win the game with no offense.
It became a repeat of the Temple game. The defense survived the 1st half, being left on the field too long wore the Terps down as the game went to the 3rd quarter.
With Rutgers, Iowa and Illinois coming up, the Terps have a chance to be 5 and 3 when the weather turns cold.
The last 4 contests, at Indiana, Mich St here, Ohio State here and at Penn State for Thanksgiving Saturday.
We need one of the quarterbacks to step up. It could very well be Piggy.

There is uncertainty with the coaching, I expect DJ to be re-instated.  Not sure when.  I don’t see any uncertainty with the team.  There is talent there, it will take this season to learn how to win.  Just remember that this group has not played that many games together.  Kasim is in his 8th game, most of the receivers are freshman.  McFarland just had his 3rd game with significant playing time.

Young and a bit confused may explain the offense.  It will get better.
