Maryland moves to 4-1 in Big Ten play Wednesday with a 82-67 win at the Barn over Minnesota.
Anthony Cowan lead the Terps with 27 points on the night and Jalen Smith added 21 of his own to lead the Terps over the Gophers.
Bruno Fernando got yet another double double with 11 points and 10 rebounds. The game really came down to free throws Maryland made 24-27 while Minnesota struggled hitting only 9 of 23 attempts.
The Gophers had the Terps on the ropes early in the 2nd half when they took a 44-36 lead coach Richard Pitino spoke in the press conference about how from that point on they allowed Maryland to “Zap their energy” Leading to Marylands victory.
